User Accounts Can Only Have One User with a Unique E-mail Address

Summary: In our system, each user is assumed to be a unique individual and will be given a unique User Account. Shared accounts for couples are not supported.
Our system use dynamic information provided by each user for certain interactive functions. All online forms will assume that the information submitted using that form should be linked to that unique User Account.

User Accounts MUST have a unique e-mail that can’t be used on another account. E-mail addresses are part of both the Security Subsystem and our Personalization System.

That means couples (spouses) cannot share the same User Account and, by extension, use the same e-mail address.

Yes, we know that some people do have one e-mail address for their household but for use on this system, each member must provide a unique e-mail address.

A User Account (and its unique e-mail address) is tied to both the User Database and the Contact Database. Both databases are permanently linked and used as a pair. If couples attempt to use the same account, the last person who provides information for the system (an RSVP for an event, for example), the Contact Database will be dynamically updated with that information, possibly overwriting the information from the other person in the couple.

If both members of a couple are using our system, each should set up a unique User Account and provide a unique e-mail address for each account. If one member of the couple (Member A) is providing information for the other member (Member B), Member A should log out of their personal User Account and log in as Member B. That way, all of the dynamic information used by the system will be properly linked to the correct account.
