Denton Arrest Warrants
Maybe you forgot about a Denton traffic ticket and now have a Denton arrest warrant, or you have outstanding warrants from years ago. No matter how long you’ve had them, or how you got your Denton arrest warrants, we can lift them all. I'm attorney Todd E. Tkach. Part of our law practice involves criminal defense and traffic citations and the arrest warrants that accompany them. Lifting traffic warrants is a large part of our traffic citation practice, including lifting Denton arrest warrants. If you have outstanding Denton arrest warrants, you must take affirmative action. They won’t just go away.
If you have an outstanding Denton arrest warrant, you are subject to arrest at any time until they are lifted. We can solve that problem. For a one time, low flat fee, we can post a bond to lift your Denton arrest warrant, file a plea of not guilty with the court, set your case for a court hearing, meet with the prosecutor at the hearing, negotiate a dismissal or favorable plea agreement and plea your case with the Judge.
If you have Denton arrest warrants, you have a few options on how to solve that problem. But most of them are not good. You could do nothing, which means that you will eventually get arrested. If that happens, you’ll remain in jail until the judge of the court determines that you have served enough time to satisfy your outstanding debt. Even for the most resilient of people, this is usually not a desirable option for a Denton arrest warrant. Another option is that, before you get arrested, you could go to the court and pay your outstanding ticket fine and warrant fees. The problem with that option is that you are pleading guilty, which means that it goes on your permanent record. Not only does it continue to affect you due to the blemish on your driving record, but it’s the most expensive option available. You're paying a high fine, warrant fees, collection fees, continue to suffer the long term financial consequences. Another option to remedy a Denton arrest warrant is to post a cash bond. That solves only part of the problem and requires a substantial cash deposit, including the fine amount and warrant and collection fees. The part of the problem it doesn’t solve is that you still have to go to court to resolve the underlying ticket. If you fail to appear for court, you forfeit your cash bond. The final option is the best choice. Call attorney, Todd E. Tkach. For a low one time flat fee to lift all of your Denton arrest warrants and resolve your entire case.
Discussed below are the two types of Denton arrest warrants and their possible effect on you.
Types of Denton Arrest Warrants
Generally, there are two types of Denton arrest warrants for municipal citations; Alias warrants and Capias warrants:
Denton Alias Warrants
Alias warrants go into effect after you receive a traffic citation if before your appearance date, you fail to either: 1) pay your traffic citation; or 2) request a court hearing. After the arrest warrant is issued, if you are stopped, for any reason, you are subject to arrest. Are you in this situation now? Do you have outstanding Alias warrants? Call attorney Todd E. Tkach now! We can post an attorney bond to lift the warrant for your arrest and set your case for hearing. At the hearing, we strive for a dismissal of the charge(s) against you. If a dismissal can’t be obtained, we’ll aggressively negotiate to obtain the best possible result for you.
Denton Capias Warrants
Capias warrants are issued when you fail to comply with a plea agreement that you entered into regarding a previous citation. It may be that you agreed to pay a certain fine within a certain time and to not get any other traffic citations within a certain time period. Failure to comply with any part of that agreement will result in a Capias warrant being issued for your arrest. In this situation, it’s probably too late for us to be able to help. You must either pay the fine or remain subject to arrest at any time.
Denton Arrest Warrant Roundups
From time to time, anywhere from two (2) to four (4) times per year, most cities and municipalities in the Dallas and Ft. Worth metroplex conduct Denton arrest warrant roundups. What is a Denton arrest warrant roundup? This is when cities and jurisdictions devise and implement plans to actively pursue the arrest of anyone who has outstanding arrest warrants for traffic citations. However, some jurisdictions don’t bother with arrest warrant roundups, but rather have a year –round program to actively arrest anyone with outstanding arrest warrants from that jurisdiction. If you think this can’t happen to you, think again! Many times, we have posted attorney bonds to bail people out of jail who had outstanding Denton arrest warrants who were arrested during routine traffic stops, at work or at home. Law enforcement officers do not discriminate when it comes to outstanding Denton arrest warrants. They will show up at the homes and/or work places of anyone who has outstanding Denton arrest warrants, and arrest them. Don’t let this happen to you!
Additional Information About Warrant Roundups
Getting Yourself Arrested for a Ticket Warrant Is Expensive
Getting arrested on an outstanding warrant for an unpaid ticket is the most expensive way to resolve your traffic ticket! First, you will have to bond yourself out of jails with a cash bond for the full amount owed. Second, you will face the highest amount of the fine, known as the "window rate." Thirdly, you will face additional fees for court costs and the collection expense of arresting you. Fourth, if you were pulled over while driving and arrested, your car might be impounded and you might face towing and impound fees to get your car back. Finally, you could also face significant State of Texas surcharges. Plus, you will loose more money from the resulting time away from work, plus the embarrassment of being arrested. This is the worst and most expensive of all possible outcomes.
If you have one or more outstanding warrants for your arrest for unpaid traffic tickets, there are much more favorable outcomes possible that will cost less and eliminate additional the hassle.
